Dobson Ranch is a great muni course, with a nice practice facility. Prices are always middle of the road. Course is always in great shape. Pace of play is always a bit slow(lots of walkers)

As always, Dobson Ranch is among the best values in the state during the peak season. Because of this, the pace of play suffers sometimes, but the presence of trees and lack of desert make the course a nice departure from the norm in Arizona. The greens are in great shape and the staff is always friendly and helpful.

As a midwesterner I enjoy Dobson Ranch. It reminds me of the tree lined courses from Michigan. It's a good test and a fun layout with some short par 5s that can be reached in two. The doglegs also require you to hit both a draw and fade to cut off some distance. It's never going to be in the best shape with as much play as it gets, but it's well worth checking out.

Played Dobson Ranch twice now over the last three weeks (03/22/13). The course itself is very fun and in very good condition. Tees, fairways and greens are all in excellent shape. Sand traps are all good as well, but they are putting new sand in a few of the traps, and those are very fluffy and deep, so be careful. The driving range area is pretty worn down without much grass to hit from, which is the only draw back at the course. There are two practice putting greens, and one chipping green. Cart girls are always attentive and there is a snack shop near the 12th and 16th tee box which is nice and different from most courses. Nice course in all which gets a lot of play by the locals.

Great deal and tough track. Rangers could enforce speed of play a little better, but every course needs to pick up the pace. A great course and should be on your list as a regular course.

A great municipal course. Tired of desert golf? This course is lined with mature trees but is still forgiving enough if you stray from the fairway. The greens are not overly fast, but if you leave yourself above the hole, you'll be lucky to get down in two. A great course for the money.
