We are very proud of what Sun City Country Club is today and where it's going quickly. The course is in great shape and it's turning heads. Greens are now at a respectable speed and work is beginning on remodeling bunkers soon. If you haven't played in a while, we think you will be pleasantly surprised.

The course is in better shape than when I played previously (January). Play in just under 4 hours, no waiting and nobody pushing. Check in smooth, practice facility good, staff courteous and attentive, green true and fast, design varied and subtle. I played with my grandson visiting from Michigan and he had a good round, his opener for the season. I used a cyber monday pass, good valued. Good lunch also.

DO NOT spend your money here !!!!! At the completion of a 5 plus hour round I was told to get out of my cart as I waited for my ride as I do not drive any longer. This was not a request but an order from a late teens kid. I explained I was waiting for my ride and the retort I received was "Other people have lives you know". I have played this course MANY times over the past year and never been treated like this. I really liked this course for its ease of play, but I will NEVER return. Oh did I mention that there were still 2 other golf carts in the parking lot at the time I was verbally accosted, yet nothing was said to them. I was shocked and appalled by the lack of courtesy afforded to me. There are hundreds of other courses in the valley which will gladly accept your green fee and afford you a much higher level of courtesy and I highly suggest that you take advantage of their amenities. STAY AS FAR FROM THIS COURSE as humanly possible. ---------REPLY FROM SUN CITY COUNTRY CLUB----------- Ken, Thank you for your review. I have talked with my staff and showed them your comments. In the future, if you need our cart after closing time please let the staff know. We are always getting special requests and make arrangements to accommodate all our guests. We are very happy to hear that you have played our course many times and you have never been treated like this before, plus, you really like our course. Again thank you for your comments, it helps us improve our service. Tom Loegering CEO Sun City Country Club

The course is in great condition. Greens are rolling very smooth at a decent pace. Great course to play on any Arizona sunny day with the tree lined fairways

Had another GREAT day out on the course, greens were sweet! Must say without it being real long yardage it doesn't mean its easy , really makes the player think out shots not just go bombs away Hope to get back out there real soon!! oh, and they carry Jumbomaxgrips too only $10 installed!

Lovely golf course, relaxed environment, opened to the public AND the restaurant (under new management) is wonderful! What a great time!

Every time I play Sun City CC I'm amazed by the pace of play. Whether I'm im a threesome or foursome the longest I'm on the course is four hours on a slow day. It makes no difference what day or time. The fairways are tight and the greens are smooth. Some playing partners have they have the best greens they have played in the area. I won't disagree. The course can be challenging if you're not careful. The rates are great. This a possibly the best value in the area.

Jan 31st/14 ...One of the friendliest course personnel in Phoenix area, down to earth atmosphere, nice bar and restaurant facilities and most of all, a fun and challenging course to play. The greens were some of the best around and although medium sized were very challenging to hit and putt. Fairways were fairly tight and gave very good lies. Tree lined fairways added challenge to drives and approach shots to the green with just enough sand bunkers and water hazards to be fair. Really had a very good time and will probably play it at least once a week. Spoke briefly with the very likable course owner who indicated he is going to institute ongoing maintenance programs to even improve and maintain the course in very playable condition year round for us full time people. I played in the afternoon and the greens held shots, were still very smooth, balls rolled true and greens were well taken care of. They also have some very affordable membership and golf packages for repeat golfing patrons that can benefit by choosing to play there a lot. Now my favorite course!

I just returned from a golf outing with friends in San Diego and have a whole new appreciation for the Sun City Country Club course. California courses have nothing over the SCCC. Sometimes you have to venture out to realize what a great home course you have. I ventured out and I'm glad to be back home where the course is great and the people are friendly.
