Less challenging than the Dunes, though still challenging. Great placement of features and great fairways. Shorter holes so better for women. Meticulously maintained.

The Duke is at the north part of Maricopa and is worth the drive to play during the Spring and Fall as the course tends to be hard and dry during the summer months. A course that offers a friendly desert style layout with wide fairways that have a lot of well placed fairway bunkers...so driver is not always the club of choice on the tee box. The greens are in good shape and can be tricky to read at times as they have a lot of undulations. Staff is friendly and the restaurant is casual and comfortable.

The Duke offers a very pleasant experience for a wide range of players. You don't have to leave the driver in the bag and every approach shot is one that encourages a high percentage of tee to green play with very readable greens. The clubhouse ammenties and staff services makes it a fun expereince!

It's a course that offers a lot of different aspects of challenges and also rewards good shots. Just a good desert course.

Wide open golf course, very forgiving. They are the widest fairways Ive ever played. It's well maintained.

Take a lot of balls with you! I lost about 15 balls last time I played there.

The Duke is a beautiful layout while forgiving for the average hacker. The thing i liked best was that most wayward drives are findable. The course is a good mix of a desert layout with some links features. I would definitely recommend The Duke to any Arizona golfers.

Very forgiving golf course, open fairways. Greens are in great shape, and were running at 11 on the stimp.
