The Gof Club at Estella was a GREAT value off of Golf Now! The course is in transition from rye grass to Bermuda but the conditions were very very nice. The service was fanatastic! One player in the group thought left his 5 iron and wedge at McCormick Ranch the day before. The ranger, who was OUTSTANDING (5/8/12), told the pro shop. The pro went out of his way to call McCormick Ranch to see if they found his clubs. THAT IS A VERY NICE THING TO DO! That is going ot the way to help people. Amazing. Thank you Estrella. A very strong 5 star rating....... all the way around.

Troon Jack Nicklaus design with an extremely friendly staff. The final 3 holes are breathtaking. The par 3 17th elevation changes and a green you have to see to believe. 18th hole bends around a mountain and the tee from the tips has a unreal view.

Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes. Five stars across the board. Beautifully designed course with great views. Generous fairways, but lots of water, big traps, washes to capture your mishits. Big, undulating multi-tiered greens. Rewards good and smart play and punishes stupid and/or really bad shots. You can go very low here on a great day, or very high on an awful one. Always in spectacular shape. Great desert views. Friendly service, rangers keep things moving. Amazing value for the price, and if you';re flexible on day/time, you can usually find a deal on Golfnow.com or troongolf.com. In my mind, it's far and away the best value of the Troon courses. The only downside is the location -- it's a bit of a hike, but worth the drive.

It's pure desert golf. A good mix of holes and variety and definitely a good test for your game.

Another troon managed gem. Estrella provides 17.5 holes of great golf if you dont mind the drive from Scottsdale. The only shot that is akward on the course is 18 from the tips, it is semi blind and tough to gauge your first time there. 17 might just be the best sub 200 yard par 3 in the valley. It is well worth the drive to play. The best part is you get the Troon expeirence with conditions and service without the $100 price tag.

Simply a great track! If you are looking for an Arizona type desert golf course at a reasonable cost this is it! Situated in the foothills of the Estrella Mountain Range the rolling fairways, natural desert washes and carries to most greens make this a challenge! Hard to find three better finishing holes anywhere in golf! Clubhouse is simple. Staff are awesome! Play the 18th hole from the back tees just for fun!

its a mountain course. you have to place your ball. greens are a little fast. the restaurant could be improved. they have a cute, nice little golf shop.

Great course! Troon managed, well kept, good challenge. It has some interesting holes where you need to go around cactuses in the center of the fairway. You need to place your shots well. Great location away from the Valley. Signature hole is 17. Beautiful hole - you go from teebox, through a ravine, a steep mountain on one side with some grass you could bounce off of onto the green. 16's a great hole too. You've got to place your shot - there's a cactus, a ravine, and a ditch - need to go around them, and hole is covered by sand traps. Awesome shot if you are a good golfer.
