Played Cholla today and it was enjoyable. The Scott Miller design definitely has Jack Nicklaus characteristics in it, with wide fairways and narrow green entry points with well placed bunkers. A challenging course. While the yardage book was helpful, being the first time playing it, local knowledge/GPS would have been helpful. Player assistant said greens were rolling a 10, but they were not even close to as fast as a 10 which made it difficult to putt. Better bring your A game and plan to hit it straight with accurate well distanced irons to score well here.

This was a great course to play. The views were fantastic and most of the fairways were wide enough to actually be able to hit. The greens and tees were in great shape. It was a great way to spend a couple hours in the sun.

Wekopa has become my "home course" now and Saguaro is one of my favorite courses I have ever played. Coore/Crenshaw really created a masterpiece with this one. The course flows through the desert without having to move a ton of dirt to create the holes. Course offers a challenge yet is not penal. Wide fairways allow a decent margin of error off the tee and the big greens allow a variety of shots. However you still need to be on your A game to score well. The closing 4 holes offer a great test of golf. Being out in the middle of the desert without being surrounded by homes allows you to appreciate the scenery of this beautiful piece of land.

This is my favorite course in town. No houses on the golf course, pristine desert scenery, the clubhouse is 5 star and the course is always in perfect condition. If you're visiting town, this course is a "must play." If you're a resident, you get a nice discount.

Great design, amazing views, and just a great challenge for your overall game. This was my first time playing this course and I will be back to play this course again.

Way out past Fountain Hills on the Beeline Highway is the Fort McDowell Indian tribe's We-ko-PA golf tandem, Cholla and Saguaro. Played Cholla last month and loved it. Course was in great shape for the summer conditions, and the ice cold towels in our cooler helped avoid heatstroke. Pace of play not a problem at all. OB Sports card rate was fantastic. Just wish I lived closer to be able to play here more often.

Saguaro- Very picturesque, but a tough course for mid handicapers. Too many false fronts. Service was good

If you are visiting AZ these courses should be at the top of your list. The Saguaro course plays great for women with only one forced carry over the desert and it's on a roughly 140 yard par 3. The Cholla course has a hole or two that are a little tough to figure out but is also a good course. I would recommend this course without hesitation and for locals the WeKoPass was one of the better deals in golf when I did it.

The Saguaro course was in beautiful condition, the fairways and greens were excellent. The sand traps were average and could use a little more sand. The round took about 4 hours and 15 minutes, very well spaced out by the staff and course ranger. The beverage service was outstanding, very friendly and courteous.

The courses are always in good condition, and the scenery is great. One course finishes with four 400-yard plus par fours--pick a tee based on the yards for each hole not just total yards for a particular tee marker.

Made a trip to the Phoenix area specifically to play golf and upon arrival to We-Ko-Pa, I was blown away. Both course were in pristine condition and the service was top notch. The fact that there are no homes or building around the course makes the golfing experience that much more enjoyable. A must play for any golfer who plans on being in the area or planning a golf vacation/trip. FANTASTIC!!!

Cholla - #3 is one of my favorite par 3's ever. #8 is a tee shot that you can't find really anywhere. This course has incredible views and some absolutely memorable holes. Saguaro - Played it after Cholla and I had heard Cholla to be the better track but Saguaro was equally impressive. I would say the views were better on Saguaro but there were more memorable holes on Cholla. Can't go wrong with either track.

The Saguaro course is one of the most scenic places you can play and offers the most amenities. The fairways are always green and the putting surfaces are in excellent conditions even in the summer.
